In 2007, Eliesha Nelson began recording Quincy Porter: The Complete Viola Works in an effort to expose listeners to the modern classical music of Quincy Porter and to preserve the invaluable musical heritage of one of America's greatest composers. The works without orchestra were recorded at Skywalker Sound.
Accompanying Eliesha in this effort are Douglas Rioth, San Francisco Symphony Principal Harpist; John McLaughlin Williams, piano/harpsichord, violin and Grammy award winning conductor; Encore Consultants LLC (Marina and Victor Ledin, producers) and the Northwest Sinfonia.
