MARINA A. LEDIN & VICTOR LEDIN:
The Ledins are co-founders and principals of Encore Consultants LLC, an international free-lance music production, research, development and marketing firm acting as consultant/project coordinators to major record labels, classical artists, and performance organizations. Encore Consultants LLC owns and operates Pleasant Lane Studio, which is one of only ten state-of-the-art CEDAR restoration facilities in the United States, equipped with virtually every form of playback and restoration technology available. Encore Consultants have produced recordings in premier concert halls and studios throughout the world. The company's primary and preferred recording venue is Skywalker Sound in Marin County, California.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Encore Consultants have produced over 100 classical recordings, spanning repertoire from Early Music, Vocal, Orchestral, Chamber Music, and Contemporary Experimental works. In addition to music production, Encore Consultants is a highly respected research and program annotation firm, with over 1,500 published liner notes and concert program notes to its credit (including contributing articles to the recently published New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, 2nd Edition (2001)). Their restorations of historically significant recordings can also be heard on the Naxos Historic label. Marina and Victor Ledin are voting members of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (both, The Recording Academy and The Latin Academy). Encore Consultants LLC is an institutional member of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION:
Encore Consultants are winners of the prestigious CEDAR Award for Historic Restoration (2000). In 2003 (46th GRAMMYs®) and 1999 (42nd GRAMMYs®), Marina and Victor Ledin were individually and jointly honored by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences with GRAMMY® Nominations in the category: "Producer of the Year - Classical".

Encore Consultants' proprietary archive encompasses over 100,000 classical recordings (cylinders, 78rpm, transcription discs, LPs, CDs, and tapes), as well as a library of over 10,000 illustrations, rare historic photos, concert programs and musical memorabilia, and over 25,000 music scores. Encore Archives also contains thousands of broadcast transcription discs, encompassing historically significant air-checks of speeches, radio programs, and news. Encore Consultants' research archives and reciprocal agreements with other complementary collections provide a dynamic historic perspective to its new recording productions, uniquely positioning the Ledins in the recording field.
