Dorian Sono Luminus
I enjoyed meeting the creative minds behind Dorian Sono Luminus in June when I shot the music video of Blues Lointains. There are many similarities between Dorian Sono Luminus and Skywalker Sound, where the Quincy Porter Complete Viola Works album began. Dorian Sono Luminus is located on Ayreshire Farm, a certified organic farm with turkeys, cattle, Shire horses, and vegetable gardens. The main house contains the studios for recording, mixing, mastering and art. Sono Luminus began in 1995 with Len Bosack and Sandy Lerner, the founders of Cisco Systems, who decided their expertise could enhance music recording. It's an inspiring place to create music.
Daniel Shores is the managing director of Sono Luminus, and the fabulous engineers I worked with were Dan Merceruio and Brandie Lane. The videographers were Nate Rhodes and Strider Jordan.
